Central Java continues to innovate by adopting digital technology in various aspects of people's lives. Through the "Smart Province" program, the provincial government seeks to improve the quality of public services, efficiency, and transparency in various sectors such as education, health, and infrastructure.
The Governor of Central Java emphasized the importance of integrating information and communication technology (ICT) to create a more comfortable and efficient environment. The steps taken include developing ICT infrastructure, integrating data and applications, and improving information security.
The program also aims to form a digital society culture that is adaptive to technological developments. Thus, Central Java hopes to improve the economic level of the community and the attractiveness of the province through tourism and investment.
Prof. Dr. Ridwan Sanjaya SE Skom MSIEC, Professor of Information Systems at Soegipranata Catholic University Semarang, gave a positive review of this initiative. According to him, “The Smart Province Program in Central Java is a significant step forward in utilizing technology for the welfare of society. With good ICT integration, we can achieve higher efficiency in public services and increase government transparency.”
Prof. Ridwan also emphasized the importance of education and training for the community so that they can adapt quickly to technological changes. "Digital education must be a priority so that the community does not only become technology users, but also innovators who are able to create new solutions," he added.
This initiative focuses not only on technology adoption, but also on innovative solutions that are sustainable and in accordance with local wisdom. The provincial government is committed to continuing to improvise and seek new breakthroughs for the sake of convenience, accuracy, and public trust.
