Chonburi, Thailand – The 8th International Conference on Information Technology (InCIT 2024) which took place on 14-15 November 2024 at Burapha University, Chonburi, Thailand, witnessed the extraordinary achievements made by lecturers and students from the Information Systems and Accounting Study Program (AKSI).

Albertus Dwiyoga Widiantoro , a lecturer in Information Systems who is familiarly called Yoga, also participated in the conference by presenting a study entitled "Sentiment Analysis of P2P Lending Fintech Service User Comments Using CNN-ROS-NCL on Imbalanced Data." This study examines the application of deep learning models to analyze the sentiment of comments from P2P lending fintech service users, especially in overcoming the problem of unbalanced data with the CNN-ROS-NCL approach .
Not only that, Yoga also invited two of his students, Natasha Mulyadinata and Kezia Budiman , to be involved in research and academic collaboration that produced quality work. The two students also presented their research at the same conference.
Kezia Budiman presented a study titled “Analyzing LQ45 Prices Using Indonesia's Inflation Rate With a Hybrid ARIMA-LSTM Model,” which examines the relationship between Indonesia's inflation rate and LQ45 stock prices using a hybrid ARIMA-LSTM model approach. Meanwhile, Natasha Mulyadinata presented a study titled “Exploring IDX Composite Growth Using LSTM Model With US Economic Indicators,” which explores the growth of the JCI by utilizing the LSTM model and US economic indicators.
The participation of lecturers and students received wide appreciation from conference participants, including academics and practitioners from various countries. Their research is considered to have made significant contributions to the development of technology and data analysis in the fields of finance and fintech.
"Involving students in international research is part of our commitment to building a competent and globally competitive young generation. I am proud of Natasha and Kezia's contribution," said Yoga after the presentation.

The Role of Students in the Development of Science
Kezia Budiman and Natasha Mulyadinata have successfully proven that students are not only learners, but also contributors to the development of science.
- Kezia with her research on LQ45 and inflation shows how a combination of traditional statistical methods such as ARIMA and modern approaches such as LSTM can be used to understand stock market dynamics. This reflects the importance of a hybrid approach to harness the power of various analysis techniques.
- Natasha , on the other hand, with her research on the growth of the JCI and US economic indicators , highlights the importance of analyzing the linkages between international markets and the domestic economy. The use of LSTM for time-series data analysis demonstrates the technological prowess and relevance to the needs of the global market.
The involvement of these two students proves that with the right support and guidance, students can produce research work that is not only relevant but also innovative.
International Conference as a Global Platform
Participating in a conference like InCIT 2024 is not only an opportunity to present research but also to build international networks. Yoga and his two students have shown courage and readiness to compete at the global level. Their presentations not only introduce new ideas but also open doors for cross-country collaboration, which is very important in today's academic and professional world.
Inspiration for the Academic Community
This achievement provides an example that collaboration between lecturers and students can create high-quality research that is able to compete at the international level. Yoga shows how the role of a lecturer is not only as an educator but also as a mentor and facilitator to develop student potential.
This success is expected to encourage educational institutions to further encourage similar collaborations. In the long run, this will enhance the institution's academic reputation on the global stage and prepare students to face the challenges of the world of work and research.
The achievements of Yoga, Natasha, and Kezia are real evidence of the success of research-based teaching strategies. With relevant topics, strong methodological approaches, and effective collaboration, they have not only made the institution proud but also made significant contributions to the development of science and technology. Hopefully, this achievement will motivate other academic communities to continue to innovate and contribute at the international level.
