Semarang, November 5, 2024 — The Information Systems Study Program of Soegijapranata Catholic University successfully held a Guest Lecture on Digital Marketing and Data Science courses featuring expert resource person, Dr. Nana Storada . The event was attended by 60 students taking both courses and was attended with high enthusiasm.

In the Digital Marketing Course session , Dr. Nana Storada discussed the importance of social media analysis to support effective marketing strategies. Students were introduced to Brand24 ( https://brand24.com/ ) , a social listening tool used to monitor and analyze user comments in depth.
“By using tools like Brand24, we can understand consumer opinions, identify trends, and improve marketing strategies based on real-time data,” said Dr. Nana. Students were invited to explore how Brand24 works, from data collection to reporting the results of social media analysis.

The next session in the Data Science Course discusses the relevance of data science in the digital and big data era. Dr. Nana explains how data science has become a primary need in various industrial sectors, from banking, health, to technology.
“In this data-rich era, the ability to analyze and understand data is critical to making informed decisions,” explains Dr. Nana. Through relevant case studies, students are invited to see how data science can help solve complex problems and predict future trends.
