As a form of celebrating the 476th anniversary of the City of Semarang which fell on Tuesday, 2 May 2023, the Semarang City Government (Pemkot) together with every village and sub-district, as well as schools and educational institutions, especially universities, held a series of seminars simultaneously in the scope of each region in parallel for a week as a step to refresh the concept of "Smart City" in Semarang City, by diverting all things that are conventional to become completely digital.

Ir. Hj. Hevearita G. Rahayu, M. Sos., as Mayor of Semarang in his remarks said that many innovations and changes were needed to support the digitalization era as a form of implementing the concept of Semarang City as "Smart City," because the name digitalization cannot stand only once it has been completed," he explained.

Not to be left behind to celebrate the Anniversary of the City of Semarang, the Information Systems (SI) Study Program, Faculty of Computer Science or also known as SIEGA Unika (Information Systems, E-Commerce, Game Technology, Accounting & Information Systems) held a seminar entitled "Development of Reality Without Boundaries in the Worlds of Business, Education and Sports in the Theater Room, 3rd Floor of the Thomas Aquinas Building, Campus 1 Soegijapranata Catholic University, Bendan on Thursday, May 4 2023.

This is not the first time, Stephani Inggrit Swastini Dewi, S.Kom., MBA., as the head of the committee of lecturer representatives, explained that SIEGA Unika had previously collaborated a lot with the Semarang City Government. One of the newest ones is that SIEGA Unika also displays the work of its students from the Information Systems Study Program in Google Day activities, "we also do a lot of research related to the municipal government," he added. "With Arpus (Archives and Libraries Service), we also want to create a metaverse for them, to digitize libraries so that people are more interested," he responded regarding future collaboration with the City Government.

He also hopes that the cooperative relationship with the City Government can continue to run well, "there can be more opportunities to conduct a lot of helpful research," he added.

In line with that, Steven Nathanael Juliano Soerjo, as the head of the student representative committee also hopes that holding this seminar can encourage his fellow students to develop their innovations and creative ideas which are of course useful in this digitalization era.
