The Information Systems Study Program, Faculty of Computer Science (FIK) Unika Soegijapranata won B accreditation after being assessed by an assessor from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT).
The Head of the Information Systems Study Program, Bernardinus Harnadi, said that the results of the B accreditation were the hard work of the entire accreditation team, starting from the Study Program to universities.
“The field assessment we have been waiting for for almost three years has yielded sweet results. Thank you to the BAN-PT assessors who have provided valuable input for the development of our Study Program," said Harnadi, Thursday (6/5/2021).
With the results of this B accreditation, he said, it was a trigger to further improve the quality of the Study Program in the future and always innovate by offering Game Technology, E-Commerce, Information Systems, and Accounting-SI programs.
The Head of the Information Systems Study Program Accreditation Team, Albertus Dwiyoga Widiantoro, revealed that the assessors had made preparatory efforts prior to the visitation.
"Actually the visitation activities were carried out in 2018, but due to budgetary constraints the process was postponed twice. And this is a challenge for us, because the old files are no longer valid, so we have to fix them again," he explained.
The improvements made included that his party had to include new activities, namely teaching activities, research activities and community service activities.
This is because research and service activities have been carried out routinely and become a habit. So that the service research files have not changed much.
"In fact, we put more research and service results into international conferences and journals. Thus we are very ready in terms of research and service," added Dwiyoga.
He admitted that it was not easy to quickly prepare accreditation files. Moreover, many research and community service activities have been held in the last 2 years.
"So, we have to report again in one year in 2019. Then we will add one more year. That's an addition of one year's file and adding one year's file is not difficult for us because we already have a good document system," he said.
